Green water: what to check before adding more chemicals

Green water can come from different causes, so pause before repeating the same dose.
- Confirm whether chlorine is reading low or disappearing quickly
- Check pH before large corrections
- Note whether the pool recently lost circulation, had storms, or sat uncovered
- Brush and vacuum what you can so the treatment is not chasing the same debris
- Share pool size, sanitizer type, and your latest readings if you want feedback
